Role offered to patol babu was that of an absent minded pedestrian. He has to collide with chanchal kumar, the hero of the film. The role described by naresh dutt was fiftyish bald short height which was exactly like patol babu. He had done some acting in the stage so due to the above reasons patol babu was offered the role.
