Why was the partition of Bengal cancelled?

On 12 December 1911 the new viceroy Lord Hardings announce to cancel the partition of Bengal at Delhi Darbar . British told that, it was their independent decision but actually British were in pressure of congress and Hindus , due to the decision Hindus were happy and it was political setback for Muslims.
