After the World War I, a peace treaty was made at Versailles with the Allies which was harsh and humiliating.

1) Germany lost all its overseas colonies, 1/10th of its population, 13 percent of territories.

2) It even lost its minerals that is 75 percent of its iron and 26 percent of its coal to countries like Poland, Denmark, France and Lithuania.

3) Germany was demilitarised by the Allies to weaken it's power.

4) Germany was held responsible for the war by The War Guilt Clause.

5) Germany was forced to pay compensation of 6 billion euros.

6) The Allies countries captured and occupied the Rhineland till 1920s

4) The Military power of the Germany was reduced , its Army was reduced to 100000 men, the Navy to 15000 men, Air force and submarines were banned.
