The Poona Pact was signed on 24 September 1932.
Poona Pact, Dr. There is a settlement between Babasaheb Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi who were in Yerwada Central Jail in Pune, India.
British Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald signed a separate electorate board for the Dalits. But Gandhiji thought that the agreement could slow the integration of the underdog's society. So he fasted till death.
To resolve this, the Poona Agreement was signed.

It was signed by Ambedkar on behalf of the depressed classes and by Madan Mohan Malviya on behalf of the upper caste Hindus and Gandhi as a means to end the fast that Gandhi was undertaking in jail as a protest against the decision made by British prime minister Ramsay MacDonald to give separate electorates
