Gaya was a village boy with exceptional expertise in gulli danda game. He was friendly and little bit headstrong in his childhood days. But later on when the writer came back to village after becoming an engineer, Gaya behaved differently. He played the game on request but he was hesitant due to the social status of the writer. His innocence and the bad effect of social hierarchy was found evident through the character of Gaya.
