1️⃣ Kerensky  Provisional government could not keep up to the expectations of the Russians. They faced severe criticisms from the Bolsheviks

2️⃣In October 1917, the socialists under Lenin staged an uprising because he could realise  that the Provisional Government would impose dictatorship as their disagreement with the Bolsheviks increased.

3️⃣He united Bolshevik supporters from the army, factories and soviets together. Lenin along with Leon
Trotsky decided to seize power

4️⃣ On 24th October, 1917, getting a hint of the forthcoming  revolution, Prime Minister Kerensky left the capital and imposed a clamp down on Bolshevik establishments.

5️⃣ Two pro-Bolshevik newspapers were taken over by the government, and troops were sent to guard the Winter Palace.

6️⃣But  Bolsheviks gave a severe retaliation by shelling the Winter Palace and other military stations. They took control over the government offices and establishments. By the end of the day, the city had fallen into the hands of the Bolsheviks and the ministers had surrendered. 

This brought the end of the Kerensky Provisional Government in Russia.
