Explanation:

Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes are considered to be the weaker section of our society even today. It is so because they are considered to be untouchables and do not have the status to combine with the society. As a result of this they are not getting equal opportunities in society, jobs and other aspects. Hence, to prevent this the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes Act 1989 was framed which provided these weaker section equality in all aspects of society.
