The idea of Swaraj party came into being when the Congress leaders thought it would be beneficial to fight the British from inside the Government.
If they pressurised the government and reform through legislative councils, then they would be able to prove they were not truly democratic.
Swaraj itself means self-rule or independence. Thus, this objectives led in rise of the Swaraj party that was formed by C.R. Das and Motilal Nehru.
Under their lead, the party had seen many changes and demonstrations.
