Ans. The system of classification of elements into triads was not found suitable because it failed to arrange all the then known elements in the form of triads of elements having similar chemical properties. Only three triadsfrom the elements known at that time could be identified.

The system of classification of elements in triads was not found suitable because the system failed to arrange the known elements of the periodic table in the triads system though they had the same chemical properties.

  • Triads are set of three elements arranged together based on their similarity between the chemical properties.
  • Several known elements in the periodic table were not arranged in a triad system though they had similar chemical properties. Only three elements from the periodic table were arranged as triads.
  • The Triad system failed to group dissimilar elements also from the known elements.
