third battle of panipat was fought because maratha is continuosly growing and and gaining territory in punjab region it cause threate to durani empire of afganistan and also colapsed mughal empire ask help from durrani because maratha is also trying to capture delhi it causes third battle of panipat in which maratha were defeted.
