Treaty of Versailles was harsh and humiliating for Germany because the treaty prevented Germany from going to war again. Germany had to agree to some terms of the treaty which made huge loss to Germany.
The terms:
1.Germany was required to pay for the loss and damages suffered by the Allies and war.
2.The area of Rhine Valley was to be demilitarized and Germany territory west of Rhine was to be occupied by the Allied troops for 15 years.
3.Germany lost many of its colonies like alsace Lorraine to France and Schleswig to Denmark
4.The league of Nations was added to this treaty.
5.German colonies in Pacific were given to China and Japan.

Hope it helps u!!
