The young bird was terrified because it did not how to fly. Its siblings and parents were trying there best to teach, but the bird was not able to do so. It was afraid of the height, that if it falls it will die. Because of this fear it was not trying to fly.

One day the bird was very hungry. Its mother was cooking food for them. She was below the edge and the bird was sitting in the edge and watching its mother cooking delicious food. Unable to stop its temptation towards food, he rushed to the food. It got above in the sky and got more terrified to fall, but as he opened his wings he was able to fly in the open sky. He was very happy to able to fly.

So his hunger led him to overcome his fear of flying.
