Answer:

there was an intense rivalry among trading companies of different european companies because  every european company wanted to buy products from india at a cheap rate and sell them in their country at a higher price . vasco da gama first discovered the sea route to india soon after that the dutch , the french and the english traders were all interested in coming to india because at that time india was "the golden bird " or " sohne ki chidiya " ,meaning that india was extremly rich at that time.

The problem was that all the traders were interested in the same items . like to win a competition one needs to remove others from the competition similarly , fights started taking place between the traders and the britishers emerged as the winners.

Here is your answer mate ✌️✌️✌️

There was rivalry between the trading companies of different European countries in India because:

1. The amount of trade was not sufficient to sustain all the companies .

2. There was a competition to make more profit.

3. In order to gain more trade facilities they had to gain political control over the areas.

4. Each company started building its army to protect its interests in India which led to many wars.
