why was there rain fall twice in a year in Tamilnadu?

Tamil Nadu has rain during the monsoon season due to the southwest trade winds which blow towards the northern hemisphere. Tamil Nadu receives rainfall in the winter season due to northeast trade winds.

✌From dec-jan it recieves heavy rainfall from north east monsoon winds. These winds causes heavy rainfall in Tamil Naidu after picking moisture from bay of bengal
