- This was resented by the dutch speaking community who got the benefit of economic development and much later.
- This led to the tensions between the two communities during 1950s and 1960s.
- Brussels was a big problem for the dutch speaking people because for the whole country they are in majority but in Brussels they are in minority.

- Constitution prescribes thag the no.of dutch people and french people ministers shall be equal in the central govt.
- many powers of the central govt have been given to state govts of the two region of the country.
- Brussels has a seperate govt in which both the communities have equal representation.
- Apart from the central and state govt,there is a third kind of govt.This is called community govt.Representatives are elected by people belonging to one language community ( including german speaking community) .This govt look after linguistic, cultural and educational related issues.
