• Grandfather had brought Toto into the house and he did not want the grandmother to feel the presence of his pet. Hence, Toto got transferred to the cage.
• In the cage, Grandfather's other pets lived together happily. But in the cage, Toto would disturb all the other animals by not letting them rest peacefully.
• Hence, Grandfather felt the need to remove Toto from the cage. He wanted to separate Toto from all the other animals.
