Tricki was not going out for walk because Mrs.Pumphrey ,the owner of tricki the dog always took extra care of him.He was fed and looked after too much inspite of repeated warnings of Mr.Herriot to cut down his food and make him do some exercise which was not followed.Mrs.Pumphrey gave him loads of cream cakes and chocolates as Tricki love them.In order to bulid up his energy between meals Tricki was given some malt,cod-liver oil and a bowl of horlicks.As a result Tricki became a bundle of fat and unable to move much.
