Why was Tricky not keeping well?

Mrs. Pumphrey's dog Tricki was rather unwell. In fact Dr. Herriot could see that he was not in the best of health just by looking at the dog. The fact was that Mrs. Pumphrey herself was to blame for Tricki's health issues. She had been over-feeding him and pampering him to such an extent that it seriously affected the dog's well-being. She fed him little extras and gave him his favourite foods including icecream! Also, there was no sense of timing and the dog was fed whenever the lady wanted to. As for exercise, she thought that exercise was wearing him out and limited his walks as well. The double effect of overeating the wrong food at the wrong times and lack of exercise led to Tricki feeling unwell.
