It is because when the Germany lost in World War I , it had to sign a peace treaty at Versailles ( also known as Treaty of Versailles ) which had certain rules. For peace Germany ought to sign it. Weimar republic was the parliament of Germany and so itsigned the peace treaty due to which Germany was economically drained and most of the population was left unemployed. Germany was terribly affected. So the people of Germany started seeing the Weimar republic which signed the treaty as a National disgrace and not welcomed by its own people.

hope so this helps...

The infant Weimar Republic was not welcomed by its own people because :

* The Weimar Republic was politically weak.

* It had sign the harsh treaty of Versailles .

* It had been forced to pay the sins of old empire.

* The infant Weimar Republic had some inherent defects because it had saw 20 different cabinets in 14 yrs
