Tricki was a dog which have been pampered by his mistress. Mrs.Pumphrey's love for her Tricki was just too much. due to Mrs. Pumphrey's excessive love towards Tricki she had overfed him which resulted in Tricki getting ill. so it is necessary for her to hardened her heart and resist herself in feeding him too much and to give Plenty of exercise and water just as how Dr. Heriot had advised her to do so
