Why water boils below 100degree celsius at heigher altitudes?

water boils below hundred degrees at high altitudes because the atmospheric pressure at high altitudes is less and hence the vapour pressure of water becomes equal to the lowered atm pressure at low temp only .hence it boils below 100 degrees.
