why water cannot be used to put off oil and electrical fires

Because water is the good conductor of electricity and the density of water is greater than oil so oil is on the water, so in those situations water is not used to put off fire

Never use the water to extinguish formation liquid firms . Water is extremely ineffective at extinguishing the type of fire and you may , Infact, spreading the fire if you try to use water on it . Never use water to extinguishing  electrical fire .
