Why water has more energy as compared to ice at same temperature and why steam has more energy as compared to water at same temperature.....

this is because the water is at its normal state. while ice is converting from 0 degrees to the given temprature. we know that kinetic energy increases with increasing temprature so from 0 degrees to normal temp. is a lot more than change of a degree or so
