Why water hyacinth float on water surface? Explain.

Water hyancinth has a parenchyma tissue known as arenchyma. The arenchyma has large air cavities which provide buoyancy ( which allows aquatic plants to float). The same process follows in water hyacinth allowing it to float on water.
