The first thing that comes to my mind is that you can’t live without it. And by it I don’t mean water of just any sort, I mean water suitable for drinking. As far as I know all plants and animals require water to live. It is also needed for many geological processes. Take away all life and geologicalprocesses that require water and this would be a pretty bleak place.
