Why water is not formed when HNO3 reacts with Mn or Mg?

HNO3 being a strong oxidising agent reduces the water molecules into oxy gen and hydrogen, but suspends only hydrogen gas as product

Water is formed when we react metal with nitric acid because nitric acid is good oxidising agent which oxidise hydrogen into water
ACC to your question....
Mn and Mg is good reducing agent so they oxide and reduce water into hydrogen again that's why hydrogen is released when nitric acid reacts with Mn and Mg
