- Water has a very high specific heat capacity, that is, to raise the temperature of unit mass of water by 1 °C, a large amount of heat is required. Car radiators get heated up by large temperatures. Water can easily take up this heat without getting heated up itself.
- The water is the cheapest liquid that can be used in heat transfer equipment, like car radiators. Besides, it is harmless, can be stored in plastic bottles, and You can get it almost anywhere, even on the road, after rain.
- The water is a substance with very high thermical capacity and is mostly used as a coolant in various heat equipment (like car radiators). It is easily heated and easily cooled, exactly because of it's thermal capacity.
- So, if You had to make decision about what coolant to be used in MILLIONS of cars on the nowadays roads, what would be the first thing You would think of - Pyralene oil? No way, the answer is WATER. It's cheap and has high thermal capacity, that are the main reasons for it's application as a coolant in car radiators.
