As ice is a solid and water is a liquid there are many causes that why water is only used as coolant in vehicles
if we use ice it may damage the spear parts of vehicles as it is a solid
the ice takes more time to melt as compare to water

The most common coolant is water. Its high heat capacity and low cost makes it a suitable heat-transfer medium. It is usually used with additives, like corrosion inhibitorsand antifreeze.
