The water shortage got increased after the post independence because of following reasons :

1. Just after independence , most of the people moves towards the country India , for settlement . The overpopulation causes the water shortage.

2. After independence , people had to start new journey of life , to fulfil the demands of other economic activities , water is necessary , and hence. , the demand of water increase .
