why we always take cos@ as a horizontal component and sin@ as a vertical component ? ; @= angle

It is not necessary
you statement is valid for case I
But
In case ||,
OC/OA = cos@ => OC= OAcos@ Here vertical component is product of vector and cos@ ..Just see the figure and u will understand..
