why we are able to read our notebooks in sunlight?

Sun gives us sunlight.. sunlight reflects in our eye . due to which we are able to see the world from our eyes.. accordingly.. we can read a book or notebook with our naked eyes in the sunlight

in day time or in light there is visible range of our eyes but in darkness nothing should be seen because in darkness range exceed the visible range
