Why we are able to sip hot tea faster from a saucer rather than a cup.

This is because the area of a saucer is greater than that of cup. Evaporation is directly proportional to the area .. hence, greater area , greater the rate of evaporation ..

the surface area of saucer is much more than the cup and as surface area is directly proportional to evaporation so in Cup the tea will get cool very late as compared to saucer. that's why we we are able to SIP hot tea faster from a saucer rather than a cup.
