why we are advised never to sleep in a room with burning coal in it?

Burning of coal in a closed room will release a lot of Carbon dioxide which will cause a person to suffocate and may even result in death.

because carbon monoxide is released which combines with hemoglobin to form carbaminoheamoglobin and reduces the supply of oxygen
