Why we are applying ohm's law in case of resistors? Why if the potential difference across the two emds of the resistor is V, resistance of the resistor is R and current flowing through the resistor is I, then, V = IR (from ohm's law)

Answer:

because ohms law explains relation between the potential difference and current through a wire on any resistor

it tells that current flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to potential difference V
