Hey mate

Here's your answer

Why do we say hello on phone first?

Hello didn't become "hi" until the telephone arrived. The dictionary says it was Thomas Edison who put hello into common usage. He urged the people who used his phone to say "hello" when answering. His rival, Alexander Graham Bell, thought the better word was "ahoy.

So your question is :-

Why we are telling Hello when we lift the mobile

Here is your answer :-

We all know telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell . So it means that he was also the first pearson to use it . The first call he made was to his girl friend who's name was " Hello " so the first word when he said when he called his gf was " Hello " and from that day we all use " Hello " When ever we lift or call .

Hope it helps
