Taste and smell are closely related. Holding your nose reduces the intensity of the taste. You can barely taste it as it reducing the bitterness of the medicine. Thts why people close their nose while taking medicines.

Taste and smell are closely related. If we smell bitter our taste buds will taste as bitter and if the smell is good we will taste good. Some medicines can be bitter in taste, hence if we do not smell it the intensity of bitterness will reduce. So we are told to close our nose before taking any medicine.

hope it helped u ........ plzzzzz... mark as brainliest.... :-)
