why we can clearly see a path of ray in a solution of water when when we pour some detol into that solution

we can clearly see a path of Ray in a solution of water and dettol due to the zik zak path of Ray and this happen because solution of dettol with water form a colloidal solution and particles of this solution become large and when the ray strike with the particles it change its path and due to which it form a zik zak path and due to which we can see the ray
