Why we can say energy flow in bidodiversity is undirectional?

We can say that energy flow in biodiversity is unidirectional because energy is being transferred in only one direction.

This means that the lower organism is being eaten by higher level of organism and this process is irreversible,so we conclude that energy flow is unidirectional.
