why we can see only white color in dark

If you turn on a torch and go in a dark room, Then you can see every colour,

But if there is absence of light , you can't see any colour,

To see white colour in dark you need a light source, Which by mean, If there is a light source You can see every colour not only white,

So your question is wrong,

in this case imagine space there is light source like star and understand that white is combination of 7 colors and also imagine a room full of black observes the light and if there is a reflecting body flashlight so dark remains dark even light is there in some case
