Why we can't eliminate friction?

If you mean practically, then no. You could reduce the friction to great lengths, but as long as you are under the influence of gravity, I don't think it is possible. Because losses are what realizes this universe,else who would not want to be in a fairy world.

friction cannot be totally eliminated because friction is very important to us and all living organisms.it is present between the sole of shoe and the ground.in some cases for our needs we are reducing friction.but we cannt eliminate it totally because we cannt survive with it.
