Why we can't obtain silk from the hatched out cocoon ?

because if the cocoon breaks, it causes damage to its silk threads and hence lowers the quality of silk.

Explanation:when the butterfly breaks the cocoon the silk fibers are cut and there are many short silk fibers which is harder to manufacture
