why we can't we make jewellery with 24 carot of gold

Bcoz pure gold which is 24 carat gold is very soft and not suitable for making ornaments. Its is alloyed with either copper or silver to make it hard

Pure gold is in liquid state.It is in mould form so it is impossible to make out ornaments.Hence we use other metal mostly copper or tin in alloying with gold. So the content may go to 22 carats or of 18 carats and their prices are also different.
