Echo is a sound produced when the original sound is reflected by walls of a given room. ... So for the case of aclassroom, no echo is producedbecause the learners and the furniture block the sound from reaching the wall hence no bouncing back of sound.

To hear an echo, our distance from the reflecting surface should be atleast 17.2 m which is not possible in a small room. Therefore, echo is not heard in a small room.
