Why we cannot identify the taste when food is very hot

Actually when we eat hot food our taste buds are damaged which reduces our ability to taste.

Explanation:

Our taste buds cannot withstand a temperature of more than 35 degrees celcius, but we do not notice that because we are preoccupied with the burning sensation.
