why we cannot introduce an arbitrary constant k in the ohm's law like V=kIR. It's wrong but why cannot introduce it by removing proportionality .

V(voltage) is directly proportional to I(current). We have already introduced one constant to equate v and I which is R. So it is meaningless to introduce two constants
