due to vapour nd smog particles.... The white light from the Sun is scattered by the water droplets due to fog.Hence, we can't see through the fog. The phenomenon is scattering of light. The reason why we cannot see through fog is due scattering of incoming (visible) light by the suspended water droplets (in the fog), it looses its intensity.
