why we cannot use pure gold to make jewellery

generally 22 carrat gold is used in making ornaments.pure gold or 24 carrat gold is not used for making jewellery.this is because pure gold is very soft

It is so because pure gold is too soft to make jewelries. Therefore gold jewellery is a mixed with copper so that they do not affect the shape.
