We identify the taste of food due to the taste buds on our tongue which are very small receptors. These receptors send signals to our brain whenever we eat food. However, they have an optimum temperature within which they can work property. if a food is too Hot and even too cold,it becomes difficult for the receptors to work and sometimes send conflicting messages to the brain which is why we do not taste food properly
