The Sadbhavana (means having good feelings for others) Diwas or Harmony Day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of the earlier Prime Minister of India named Rajiv Gandhi. Having good feelings for others was the only the mission of the government of Rajiv Gandhi. It is celebrated every year on 20th August by the Congress by cutting a cake in order to encourage the national integration, peace, national integrity, love, affection and communal harmony among the Indian people of all religions. In the year 2008, it was celebrated at 20th of August by arranging a rally of COBS Unit’s NSS volunteers in the university campus.

Hey dear..

Your answer is...

We celebrate " Sadbhavna Divas " on 20th August to remember a great personality, a great soul of our nation, he is none other than Sri Rajiv Gandhi.

He was such a great man who had devoted his life for communal harmony.

He wanted all the people to live in a peaceful life. And we all know that our India is a secular country,so we should maintain peace in our life and should maintain communal harmony too.

So for this great personality, charming man we celebrate his birthday as "communal harmony day " or " Sadbhavna Divas ".

Hope this helps. Thank you.

neeraj5670: thank you so much
trupti100: its my pleasure
neeraj5670: okl
