why we connect voltmeter is parralel in a circuit ?

In order for a voltmeter to measure a device's voltage, it must be connected in parallel to that device . This is necessary because objects in parallelexperience the same potential difference.

voltmeter is used to measure potential diff.
if we wanna find potent diff across a wire we connect it in parallel because it has infinite resistance and connecting in series makes the current zero
so its connected in parallel
